For one day only, Flinders Street in the heart of Townsvilleās CBD transforms into a festival of Bavarian street food, hand-crafted beer, games and all day entertainment. Live bands and DJs kicking off at midday, but be prepared to party well into the night for the NRL Grand Final live on Townsville’s biggest outdoor screen!

Known by the locals as The Brewery
Opened In 2001, by the Ramm family and redeveloped into a craft brewery complete with a brewpub, restaurant and event hire space.
The original building was opened on the 2nd of December 1889, the Townsville General Post Office was one of the grandest examples of Victorian architecture of its time. It served as the principal avenue of communication well into the 20th century.
In 2020, the Townsville Brewery was bought by the Bredhauer family. It remains a proudly independent, family-owned brewery, and its legacy of providing locals with its unique and original craft beer continues.

The iconic clock tower, that features in our logo, was imported from England in 1891. Its melodic chimes were a part of daily life in Townsville until WWll. There was some concern that the clock tower would be a target for bombing. This led to its dismantling in 1942. The new clock tower, as you see it today, was rebuilt in 1963, when the building underwent interior modernisation and continued to serve as the Townsville General Post Office.
